UN Action Day: Frankfurt

Transformation processes in the Art Landscape.

The nationwide artists’ network United Networks (UN) is coming to Frankfurt! After our first UN Action Day in Hanover in March this year, we are now looking forward to putting out feelers in a completely new direction in June. We invite you to a community meet-up, workshop and exchange with BIPoC artists and cultural policy makers.

We? That’s the nationwide network for art and culture professionals United Networks. We are an alliance of self-organised artists’ groups and community-focused platforms and networks from five federal states. Our alliance is committed to the promotion of marginalised artists and thus to an equal cultural landscape.

We organise nationwide network meetings, workshops, presentations, create a study and offer residencies in rural areas. All of this is done together with artists, cultural workers, activists and community organisers – in order to bring multi-perspective, marginalised narratives into focus.

Through our actions, we want to promote the emergence of a mindful, power-critical and privilege-conscious art and cultural community. We want to promote a qualitative cultural landscape with equal access and working conditions.

At our first Action Day in Hanover, we were able to connect networks and individuals, discuss pressing cultural policy issues and find an open space for dialogue. We want the same for Frankfurt!

The programme items from 10:00-13:30 offer a space for BIPoC, post-migrant and Jewish perspectives*. For the discussions from 14:30, all people are cordially invited to join us in thinking about new ideas for a non-discriminatory and equal cultural landscape!
