UN@IETM Berlin Plenary Meeting

May 15-17, 2025
IETM Berlin Plenary Meeting
United Networks joins the IETM Plenary Meeting in Berlin with a series of workshops, talks, and exchanges — centering racialized and marginalized perspectives in cultural policy, arts practice, and institutional transformation. Join us across three days of public programming designed to foster international dialogue, collective learning, and concrete steps toward a more equitable cultural landscape.

May 15 | 3:30–5:30 PM – Workshop & networking @ Museum Ephraim-Palais

Together with our alliance partner Sisyphos, der Flugelefant (SdF), we host a collaborative session on inclusive programming for underrepresented children and youth — contributing to the development of the UN Hospitality Rider, a conversation-based tool for creating braver, more accessible spaces.

May 15 | 6:00–8:00 PM – Reception: Promoting Connections @ HAU 2

As part of the Promoting Connections alliance, we take part in a reception to exchange with international peers and local political representatives about pathways toward a more inclusive cultural sector.

Our community curator Natali Abhyankar along with our alliance partners Asian Performing Artists Lab (APAL), MSG & Friends, and SdF will bring the UN Guideline into the space to share and discuss its approaches in informal dialogue.

May 16 | 2:15–4:15 PM – Intervisions: A Parkour Rehearsing Futures

Ming Poon from our alliance partner APAL leads an informative tea round focused on rural cultural work and learnings from UN LAB Bräsen, as part of our work on the Hospitality Rider.

May 17 | 10:15–11:15 AM – German Associations Showcase

Co-founder and voluntary managing director Chang Nai Wen presents the UN Garden Concept — our value-based organizational model for sustainable, care-driven transformation in the arts.

Join us in shaping an equitable future for arts and culture — in Germany and beyond.
