Final event of the pilot project “UN LAB Berlin” to create inclusive synergies creating inclusive synergies, presented by United Networks and Sisyphos, der Flugelefant

Culture should become more diverse, more inclusive and more accessible. But by whom, for whom and how?

The Germany-wide alliance United Networks gUG (UN) launched its artistic pilot programme “UN Lab” this summer: a laboratory for creative exchange, experimentation and collaboration in structurally weaker regions and for working with children and young people from families who are socio-economically disadvantaged due to their refugee context.

As part of this programme, the “UN Lab Berlin”, in cooperation with the transcultural group Sisyphos, der Flugelefant (SdF), offers space for exchange between racialised and/or migrant artists, children and young people from the Mühlenstraße and Treskowstraße shared accommodation centres and employees from cooperating institutions such as the Pankow District Centre and the Berlin City Museum Foundation. The aim is to design a target group-oriented cultural programme through cooperation at the interface of cultural education, social work and art.

Four artists – Azar Pajuhandeh, Golnar Tabibzadeh, Melissa Medina López and Naser Fathi – are invited to develop their artistic-educational ideas in a practical exchange during this two-week project workshop. The final event will then take place on 25.08.2023 in the Pankow district center.
